Welcome Autumn!
For those of you who are tied to an academic calendar (you have kids in school, you ARE the kid in school, or you work in an academic setting) have you settled into a routine? It can be a little bumpy to start, but everything usually evens out after a while. For those of you NOT in the back to school arena, I bet you know of people who are… so I guess the back to school season touches everyone in some way or another.
Now there’s a word to think about – ROUTINE. What does that even mean anymore? Ever since the 2020 lockdown for COVID, I’m super distractable. I think it’s because a majority of tasks aren’t always easy to prioritize – everything feels equally important. There’s no regular, routine anything.
Maybe that’s just me.
Do you feel that way too?
If so, know that you aren’t alone. I have the privilege of talking to many of you at events and via email messages, and this theme of distraction and lack of routine is pervasive. I don’t think there’s any one way to address what we’re all feeling, but I do think that everyone will eventually figure out what works best for them.
Ok – that’s super heavy for a jewelry newsletter, but I AMulets are meant to be more than sparkly necklaces. Each pendant and matching intention statement is designed to address the anxieties and worries that sidetrack us from growing into our authentic selves. And for me, right now, it’s a feeling of brain fog and distraction. I’m working on it.

Oh, and THANK YOU to those who stopped by my table at the St Louis Park Art Fair! I had a great time meeting new people and seeing friendly familiar faces. Exciting news alert – I received an award for excellence! This was my first award from a juried show, and I couldn’t have been more surprised or honored.
